Neil Rees
Director Global Trade, Agilent
Neil Rees has over 18 years hands on experience in various corporate tax management positions with Sterling Drug, Hewlett-Packard, and Agilent Technologies. Currently he is director of Global Trade for Agilent Technologies with responsibilities that include customs, export controls and associated regulatory requirements related to international shipments. Mr Rees is also responsible for the tax and trade technology strategy within Agilent. Prior to his current position, Mr Rees was Worldwide Transaction Tax Manager for Agilent, with responsibility for compliance, strategy and technology for transaction taxes worldwide.
Prior to joining Agilent in 1999, Mr Rees was European VAT Manager for Hewlett-Packard where he was instrumental in developing their European VAT strategies and compliance procedures. Earlier in his career Mr Rees worked for Hewlett-Packard, and previously Sterling Drug, in a variety of corporate income tax and transaction tax roles.
During his career, Mr Rees has gained extensive experience of tax technology applications and managed the implementation of Oracle 11i and SAP R3 from a tax and trade perspective.
Following a four year assignment to California and Singapore, Mr Rees is now based in the UK. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation.
